Local SEO and national SEO are different enough that they require different strategies. Local SEO is about proximity, relevance, and GBP signals. National SEO is about topical authority, site architecture, and link profile breadth. Businesses that start local and want to scale nationally often hit a ceiling because their site structure was built for local search and does not translate to national competition.

The National SEO Campaign is a 12-month program built for businesses that have outgrown their local market or are launching a product or service that competes nationally. It is more intensive than local SEO and more competitive, but the ceiling is much higher.

Architecture and targeting

National keyword campaigns require a content architecture that establishes topical authority across an entire subject area, not just individual keywords. We build a site structure that groups related content into topic clusters, with pillar pages supporting a network of subtopic articles. This structure signals topical authority to Google and produces compounding ranking benefits as the cluster grows.

Content at scale

Six or more articles per month, each targeting a specific keyword and intent. Articles are written at the depth required to compete in national search, which for competitive terms often means 2,000 to 3,500 words with structured subheadings, data references, and genuine expert information.

Link building

National SEO requires links from nationally recognised publications, industry sites, and authority domains. We build outreach relationships over time and place links on sites that a national audience actually reads. This is slow and there are no shortcuts that hold up to algorithm scrutiny.
